Quality Control InspectorThe Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. This role also supports document control, warehouse operations, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for a candidate with a manufacturing background who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills across multiple functions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections on incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished goods using appropriate measurement tools.Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, and tape measures.Inspect components based on technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications.Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and collaborate with production and quality teams for resolution.Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and quality data logs.Conduct first article inspections (FAIs), final inspections, and spot checks.Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal and customer-related quality issues.Support ISO 9001 compliance and participate in quality audits and documentation processes.Help calibrate and verify measuring instruments; report any out-of-tolerance or damaged tools.Assist in document creation and control to ensure internal compliance with quality procedures.Collect data from the shop floor and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and material specifications.Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality systems.Experience documenting non-conformances, conducting inspections, and completing reports.Familiarity with warehouse operations such as receiving, inventory, packaging, and basic maintenance.Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and/or quality databases.Forklift operation experience required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in metal fabrication, machining, or sheet metal inspection.Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation is a strong plus.Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.Experience working with ERP or QMS systems.Knowledge of packaging methods and warehouse data systems.SkillsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all skill levels.Team player with a proactive attitude and a focus on continuous improvement.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery.Use of hands and arms to operate tools, lift materials, and conduct inspections.BenefitsCompetitive hourly compensation with growth opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company committed to excellenceUltra Corpotech Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
