Production Planner
Position Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to support our operations and ensure efficient production scheduling, materials planning, and coordination between departments. This individual will play a key role in helping us meet customer deadlines, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels during a period of increased demand.Position Location:Humble, TXIn This Role You Will:Monitor work orders and job progress; proactively identify delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actionsMake corrections to work order BOMs as neededCoordinate closely with production supervisors to adjust schedules based on shop floor conditionsCreate and manage visual scheduling tools (spreadsheets, whiteboards, or planning boardsPartner with purchasing and inventory teams to align material availability with production prioritiesLead daily or weekly production scheduling meetings with cross-functional teamsManage work order statuses, make corrections as necessarySupport inventory control processes, including cycle counts and demand forecastingTroubleshoot fulfillment or other work order related issuesProvide feedback for ERP item master/master data correctionsGenerate and maintain planning metrics, reports, and KPIs to support operations leadershipAssist in transitioning planning activities into a more standardized or digital format (if applicable)Qualifications/Skills:3+ years of production planning or materials scheduling experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentStrong understanding of MRP systems and planning tools (experience with ERP software such as Oracle, Epicor, SAP or similar)Familiarity with BOMs, routing, lead times, and inventory controlStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentPreferred Additional Skills:Oracle NetSuite ERP experience.Electrical distribution equipment manufacturing or engineered to order businessWork Environment: This position primarily operates in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.
