Engineering Manager, Data Modeling

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Data Modeling to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.This leader will own the strategy and execution behind core data models and metrics that power reliable decision-making across the organization. The role will focus on building high-quality, reusable data products and defining the semantic layer that supports consistent reporting and analysis. You will partner closely with Product, Data Platform, and Business Analytics teams to strengthen data governance, improve performance, and scale foundational data architecture.As the team’s technical lead, you will set modeling standards and guide workflow orchestration to support a modern, well-governed data environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annuallyResponsibilities Own the development and evolution of core data models and metrics Build and maintain foundational data products with a focus on quality and performance Define and manage common metric definitions and semantic layers Collaborate across teams including Product, Data Platform, and Business Analytics Set the technical direction for modeling standards and workflow orchestrationQualifications 2+ years of leadership experience managing data professionals 6+ years of experience building and maintaining core data models Familiarity with SaaS metrics and product usage Advanced SQL and strong Python skills Experience with Spark and lakehouse environments like Databricks Proven ability to prioritize reusable data models over one-off solutions Strong understanding of data governance, security, and complianceBenefits Flexible work environment Opportunity to work with modern data tools and technologies Collaborative and cross-functional team culture Professional growth and leadership opportunitiesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
