Full Stack Engineer

Looking for a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer to take technical ownership of an early-stage AI-enabled SaaS platform and help move it from a working proof of concept into production.Core skills and experience:• 7+ years of full stack software engineering experience• Experience as a lead engineer, technical lead or early engineering hire• Strong Python backend development• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript experience• Modern frontend frameworks, preferably React / Next.js• PostgreSQL and relational database architecture• REST APIs and service architecture• Deep AWS experience• Production SaaS architecture and deployment• Authentication, authorization and multi-tenant architecture• Security, testing, monitoring and production reliability• CI/CD and modern development workflows• Experience integrating LLMs and generative AI into production applicationsHighly valuable experience:• AWS Bedrock• RAG architecture• AI agents / agentic workflows• Document intelligence and document ingestion• OCR and structured data extraction• Vector databases / embeddings• Data pipelines and third-party integrations• Financial or analytical modeling applications• Data visualization and dashboard development• PropTech / commercial real estate technology• Building AI-enabled SaaS products from prototype through productionThis is not a role for someone who simply wants to receive requirements and write code.I’m looking for someone who can evaluate an existing codebase, challenge technical assumptions, make architectural decisions, establish engineering standards and own the path to production.You should be equally comfortable discussing product strategy and architecture at a high level and getting into the code to build.DC Metro area strongly preferred.
