As a member of the front-end team, our cashiers are devoted to handling all customer transactions accurately while providing an exceptional customer service to all guests throughout their store experience. Having a professional, pleasant, and guest-driven attitude is ideal for individuals in this role.Provide exceptional customer service at all times including welcoming guests, assisting and addressing customer needs in a timely mannerMaintain a positive, courteous demeanor at all timesAccurately handle all guest transactions and follow all cash handling proceduresProperly scan and bag all merchandise.Learn and utilize in-store specific codes such as: produce codes, food preparation codes, etc.Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift to reduce and prevent shortages.Other reasonably assigned duties as per business needRequirementsExcellent customer service skills and a professional demeanorAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to work both independently as well as with a teamAbility to read and write the English language, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required.Ability to accurately handle monetary transactionsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness and ability to learn about our productsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift, carry, push and pull weightsAbility to work in a high-volume, fast paced environmentAt Citarella, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
