Role SummaryProduction SchedulerCompany: MANN+HUMMELLocation: Portage, MI#LI-OnsiteThe Production Scheduler is responsible for planning plant production requirements and related supplier material requirements.Main TasksEvaluates customer demand and firms up planned orders in SAP for assigned assembly cells and pressesCreates and monitors 12-week master schedule for assigned assembly cells and pressesBalances master schedule to level headcount, working within minimum/maximum inventory levels per the plant Plan For Every Part (PFEP)Calculates minimum/maximum inventory levels needed for each part number, for assigned cells, based on PFEPCoordinates and schedules pre-production in accordance with engineering work requestsCoordinates bank buildsEstablishes priorities for specific production jobsCommunicates master schedules to all affected personnelMonitors WIP/Finished Goods range of coverage and inventory accuracy ensuring that product identification and storage location are in accordance with plant PFEP and notifies Materials Manager of required inventory adjustmentsMaintains accurate record keeping and reporting utilizing SAPOperates a computer, calculator, copier, fax machine and standard office equipmentMaintains an acceptable attendance record to ensure timely work completionPerforms all activities in a professional and positive mannerPerforms other job-related duties as assignedQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in integrated supply chain management, or a related field along with one-year minimum experience in scheduling or supply chain within an automotive manufacturing industry, or similar industry.Experience:Minimum of 2 years required in scheduling or supply chain within an automotive manufacturing industry, or similar industry if no degree.Required Skills:SAP ERP system experience (strong)Production Planning (PP) and Warehouse Management (WM)Interpersonal skills necessary to work in a cooperative, positive team approachPreferred Skills:Strong communication skills with cross functional teamsAdaptability to changeTime Reaction (need to be able to react quick)
