Job Description:The Schuylkill Valley School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Special Education The Schuylkill Valley School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Middle School Special Education (Multi-Disabilities) Teacher effective with the start of the 2026-27 school year. This position is responsible for providing specialized instruction, academic support, behavioral support, and case management services to students with multiple disabilities in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The teacher will create and maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that enables students to access curriculum, develop functional and academic skills, and make meaningful educational progress. Appropriate PA special education certification, demonstrated ability to provide instruction to learners with varied academic, behavioral, communication, and functional needs in both specialized and inclusive settings, knowledge of IEP development and implementation, progress monitoring, specially designed instruction, and compliance with state and federal special education regulations, experience with positive behavior supports, PBIS frameworks, differentiated instruction, and collaboration with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and general education staff, strong communication, organizational, and case management skills required, along with demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students, families, and colleagues, and acceptable record of attendance are required.
