Assistant Project Manager
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of daily activities of all assigned construction projects in consultation with the Project Manager; including coordinating meetings, organizing and maintaining project documentation, and creating and maintaining reports. As needed, you will also help see projects to successful completion from beginning to end.What This Position Looks LikeAssist superintendent in requests for submittal information, subcontractor information, and RFI creation, and project engineering related office needs.Attend construction meetings on jobsite, update meeting minutes, prepare all materials for meetings, and confer with PM on items to be discussed.Attend monetary-related meetings in office.Attend hand-off meetings.Create and maintain the project schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager.Manage projects using ProCore and company-provided documents.Evaluate incoming POs and Pay Apps for accuracy, submit latter to PM for approval, as well as Change.Process all Orders and Proposals.Process submittals once approved by PM, save to job file, create stamp for PDF, create transmittal for PDF, upload to Share file, distribute to pertinent parties via email, add information to log – both outgoing and incoming, and distribute response internally and to subcontractor.Process RFIs from subs and TBG, create transmittal, create Word document RFI, add information to log – outgoing and incoming, and distribute response to appropriate party.Allocate subcontracts/POs once created by administrative team.Clean up committed costs – monthly.Create owner pay apps – monthly.Track costs for cost-plus or g-max owner apps.Mentor newer Project Engineers.Other duties may be assigned.The Knowledge And Skills Needed From You3+ years of experience within the commercial construction industry.Demonstrated ability to coordinate, organize, schedule and prioritize tasks.Ability to handle multiple priorities, duties, projects and responsibilities at once.Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse project personnel.Strong general computers skills, demonstrated ability with MS Excel and Word and Sage 100 Contractor/Master Builder, and Microsoft Project.Ability to quickly learn and master new trade-related computer applications.
