A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg Tele/n/nJob Details:/n• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM/n• Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed/n• Maintain 6:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends/n• Float required when census is down across all Cone Health facilities/n• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required/n• First time travelers accepted/n• Previous Charge RN experience preferred/n• BLS certification required/n• EPIC charting system experience required/n• Must pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)/n• 48-hour orientation period/n• Care for observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes patients, and surgical patients/n• Work with 30-bed unit serving adults and geriatrics with daily census of 16/n• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, wound care, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP management, and colostomy care/n• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams/n• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences/n• Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST on Wednesday prior to start date/n• 50-mile local radius restriction applies/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides advanced patient care across multiple campuses.
