Lead Substation Physical Engineer - REMOTE

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Substation Physical Engineer - REMOTE to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $119,323 – $202,850 annuallyResponsibilities Lead design and preparation of substation physical design drawings Conduct engineering studies for AC Load, Illumination, Grounding, and Lightning Shielding Develop project-specific Bill of Materials based on design criteria Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure deliverable quality Participate in client meetings and project planning discussions Perform QA/QC processes on all design packages Ensure compliance with industry codes and standardsQualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (power systems focus preferred) 8+ years of substation physical design experience for electric utilities Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license within 6 months Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design tools Strong leadership abilities to mentor junior staffBenefits Opportunity for career growth to Supervising Engineer role Flexible remote work environment Mentorship and leadership development Support from a collaborative team of engineers Access to training and professional development resourcesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
