CNC Machinist
CNC MachinistNesco Resource is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for one of our parts/tool manufacturing clients in Novi, MI. This is a Contract-to-Hire role. Shift: 1st 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday Pay: 26-36/hr., per level of experience Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and setting up CNC machinery. The candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components that match engineering specifications. Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate various CNC machinery, including Vertical Machining Centers/Mills, Router Table, Plasma Table, CNC Lathes with live tooling and sub-spindles, Laser Table, and other types of multi-axis machines.Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructionsInstall tooling, fixtures, and materials according to customer specificationsUse various precision measurement tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers) to verify dimensionsTroubleshoot machines to identify issues and implement corrective measures.Collaborate with engineers as needed to ensure tight tolerances and high-quality standards are met throughout the production processEnsure documentation is maintained of work performed, including logs and inspectionsEnsure safety guidelines are followed and contribute to continuous improvement methodsConduct preventive maintenance on CNC and other production equipment as neededQualifications:2+ years of experience of CNC Machining/CNC Machinist within a manufacturing environmentCertificate in CNC Machining/advanced manufacturing, preferredStrong aptitude of CNC programming concepts (Offsets, G-Code, and Tooling Paths) with the ability to make changes as neededAbility to understand/ interpret GD&T, blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawingsExperience with HAAS, FANUC, Siemens, or Mazak controls (Highly preferred)Experience with CAD/CAM programming such as Mastercam, Torchmate, ESPRIT, Fusion 360, or Lincoln ElectricUnderstanding of machining processes of various materials (steel, aluminum, plastics, composites, etc.)CTD113 Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
