The firm invests in technology and tech-enabled services businesses across highly regulated and complex industries.This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership, including the CFO, and provides broad experience across fund accounting, investor reporting, and portfolio company support.Job Title: Fund Accountant – Private EquityJob DescriptionThe Fund Accountant will support the accounting and operational activities across the firm's private equity funds and management company. This role will work closely with internal teams and third-party service providers to ensure accurate financial reporting, investor communications, and fund operations.This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate coming from public accounting or fund administration who is looking to transition into a more dynamic, in-house investment environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFund Accounting & ReportingPartner with fund administrators to prepare quarterly financial statementsAssist with year-end audit processes across multiple fundsTrack and report investment activity and performanceCapital Activity & Investor RelationsPrepare and distribute capital calls and distribution noticesRespond to investor requests and support investor communicationsAssist in preparation of investor reporting and marketing materialsCash Management & OperationsSupport daily and weekly cash management activitiesManage relationships with third-party providers (fund admin, tax, etc.)Ensure timely and accurate flow of financial informationTax & Compliance- Partner with external tax providers on K-1 preparation and filings- Support regulatory and compliance-related processesManagement Company & Portfolio SupportAssist with management company and GP accountingSupport portfolio company reporting and valuation processesWork closely with the investment team on financial reporting needsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's a plus)1–4 years of experience in:Public accounting (audit) ORFund administration (private equity preferred)CPA (or progress toward) preferredStrong understanding of:Accounting fundamentalsFinancial reportingExposure to:Private equity or alternative investments preferredManagement company or tax processes is a plusStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
