Senior Java Solutions Architect

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Java EE Developer to support the modernization of enterprise applications and the migration of legacy systems to cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Java EE technologies (EJB, JPA, SOAP), strong analytical skills for legacy code analysis, and the ability to collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders.This role requires a blend of technical expertise, system analysis, and modernization experience to ensure HHSC's applications meet the goals of modularity, security, and interoperabilityKey ResponsibilitiesAnalyze legacy Java EE components (EJB, JPA, SOAP services) to support architectural decision-makingParticipate in application rationalization and transformation planningSupport technical walkthroughs, documentation, and mapping of system dependencies and integration pointsCollaborate with architects and business analysts to modernize systems while retaining core business logicAssist in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native platforms with emphasis on microservices and API-driven architecture.Use AI code analysis tools to examine legacy Java EE applications.Extract and document business rules, requirements, and system logic based on existing code.Work with business and technical stakeholders to validate and adjust requirements.Identify and record technical debt, design patterns, and architectural details in legacy systems.Minimum Requirements12+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Java EE development (EJB, JPA, SOAP).12+ years proficiency with Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8, including deployment on enterprise-grade servers.12+ years experience with object-relational mapping and persistence layer integration10+ years collaborating with cross-functional teams (architects, analysts, security engineers).8+ years experience with AI code analysis tools for static analysis and pattern recognition.8+ years familiarity with DevSecOps practices (automated testing, deployment, monitoring).8+ years exposure to cloud-native transformation strategies (containerization, elastic scaling, loosely coupled interfaces).8+ years working with Agile methodologies (sprint planning, backlog refinement).Strong understanding of software design principles and patternsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications6+ years strong communication and collaboration skills.6+ years experience with requirement elicitation and documentationJ-18808-Ljbffr
