Job Opportunity: Full-Time NeonatologistOur organization, affiliated with a prominent medical institution, is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Neonatologist. This position is within the expanding Division of Neonatal Medicine in the Pediatrics Department, located at a hospital in Jamaica, New York City, which serves the vibrant and diverse community of Southern Queens.This hospital is a key part of the New York City public health system and has been recognized as a Baby Friendly USA Designated Birthing Facility since May 2014. Additionally, it has achieved a Gold level certification as a Cribs for Kids Unit since 2019. Our busy 15-bed Level 3 NICU provides a wide range of services, excluding neonatal surgeries. The collaborative nature of our multidisciplinary team and the variety of cases we handle are significant draws for both our hospital and our Newborn Service.We offer numerous opportunities for program development and academic research in areas such as:Antibiotic and medication stewardshipQuality of care initiativesDevelopmental carePoint-of-care ultrasoundPatient safety initiativesTeaching and mentorshipInnovative programs focusing on early childhood development and the mother-baby couplet begin within our newborn service and extend seamlessly into outpatient care. The hospital is conveniently accessible via public transportation and by car from various locations across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.QualificationsApplicants must have completed a Neonatal Fellowship and be board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine, holding a valid New York State License.
