This individual will be responsible for consistently ensuring safe and accurate deliveries from the plant and customer locations. Are you detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record? Bring your A-game to help us save the world one package at a time!What You Will DoFully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicleDrive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.Ensure the trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unitTransport goods and company products from the place of origin to the assigned destinationEnsure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent damageSafely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinationsObtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clientsStay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveriesCommunicate with dispatch as neededConfirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest documentPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripCheck weather conditions and road reports before departureAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredFollow the delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsContribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours workedAdhere to company rules and regulationsAlways adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authoritiesComply with DOT regulationsMake safety a priority at all timesResponsible for loading and unloading materials (boxes, pallets, foam, etc.) Assist with Production Worker duties such as assembling packaging products, shrink-wrapping pallets, inspecting products, etc.Must be able to drive/use a forklift, pallet jack and hand truckPerforms other duties as assignedWhat You Need To Succeed1-3 years of delivery driving experience1-2 years of assembly or production work experience in a manufacturing environmentValid Class A driver’s license required/Clean DMV record Forklift experience and prior certificationValid Class A driver’s license requiredSkilled at driving large vehiclesComfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailerAn innate sense of directionBenefits We OfferHealth insurance (medical, dental, vision) Paid sick and paid vacation time off Company-paid life insurance Additional life/accidental death and dismemberment insurance Short and long-term disability 401k with company matchEPE USA is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
