Saks Fifth Avenue is part of Saks Global's portfolio of top luxury retail brands and real estate assets.Responsibilities:Responsible for weekly preventive maintenance on all building equipment and building envelop, to include daily/weekly and monthly logging of safety inspectionsInspections must occur on facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators and HVACResponsible for ordering maintenance supplies and assisting Regional Manager in managing the maintenance expense accountsAssist Regional Manager with execution of capital planning projects.Engineer will maintain and/or coordinate all building energy management systems to include lighting through the Trane Ensemble Software.Store systems that may need support would include, but not limited to Point of Sale (POS) and Telephone systemsSupport of kitchen equipment may be requiredMust be able to respond to after-hours and emergency calls and overtime may be requiredQualifications:Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical fieldTwo to Five years experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical fieldMust have a background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVACDemonstrated ability to multitask and self-prioritize work assignmentsAble to work with others as well as independently and be a self-starterAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with regular bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head and able to climb laddersAbility to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendorsUnderstanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) informationMust be highly self-motivated and customer-centricCareer Benefits:Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunitiesA culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balanceBenefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental).An amazing employee discountFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.Benefits: We offer the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, basic life insurance, supplemental life insurance, disability insurance, and a variety of additional voluntary benefits (such as critical illness, hospital and accident insurance).
