Global Snacks Category ManagerJob Category: Taste & Sensory Solutions Requisition Number: GLOBA001533Full-Time Hybrid Kalsec Waalwijk, 5145 PE, NLDDescriptionEssential Job Responsibilities:Category Strategy, Portfolio & Go-to-Market LeadershipEstablish growth objectives, enable sales conversion, and monitor sales growth for Kalsec's Savory Snacks categoryWork cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Business Unit leaders, and R&D to deliver category strategyIdentify and explain market trends and competitive dynamicsAnalyze consumer behaviors and translate insights into category opportunitiesMap customer size, potential, strengths, and weaknessesDefine priority customers and go-to-market approaches by regionIdentify portfolio synergies and gaps across Business UnitsSegment the portfolio using lifecycle management principles and share recommendations with Product ManagementPropose innovation and development opportunities aligned with market and customer needsDefine regional priorities together with Business Unit HeadsDevelop and manage the innovation pipeline based on customer needs and claimsLead new product launches within the category and align regional execution plansCustomer Engagement, Sales Enablement & Performance ManagementServe as a strategic partner to key global and regional customers identified in the category planSupport Sales in building strong, long-term relationships with priority customersIdentify customer-specific "hooks" and value propositions based on customer profilesTrain Sales Managers through joint customer visits and targeted category trainingMonitor category performance through sales data, competitive intelligence, and customer feedbackProvide in-depth performance analysis and dynamic reportingDeliver bi-annual performance updates versus the Business PlanQualifications:RequiredBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of progressive experience within the Snacks category, across roles such as Sales, Marketing, R&D, or Category ManagementStrong understanding of the Snacks value chain, from ingredient sourcing to customer and consumer applicationsEstablished professional network within the Snacks industryProven ability to translate complex technical and market information into clear, compelling value propositionsStrong presentation skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and customersExperience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) and proficiency in Microsoft Office toolsDesiredScientific background in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related disciplineMBA or advanced business degreeExperience working in a global and/or cross-regional roleCompetency with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BIWorking Conditions:Role requires flexibility to collaborate across global time zones, including occasional work outside traditional business hoursApproximately 5 days of travel per month to visit customers, attend meetings, or support regional initiativesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
