This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and strong writer who thrives in deadline-driven environments and enjoys transforming complex technical solutions into compelling, compliant, and persuasive narratives.As a key member of our growth team, you will lead the full proposal lifecycle—from RFP analysis through submission—ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality, winning proposals that reflect both client requirements and our brand excellence.What You'll DoLead and manage the end-to-end federal proposal development processServe as the day-to-day leader of the proposal team, managing workloads, coordinating resources across active and upcoming pursuits, and ensuring proposal activities are executed effectively and on scheduleManage a small proposal teamAnalyze RFPs, RFIs, and white papers to develop compliant and competitive proposal strategiesFacilitate proposal kickoffs, storyboarding sessions, and color reviewsCollaborate closely with technical SMEs, capture managers, pricing teams, and leadershipWrite, edit, and refine technical and management volumes, ensuring clarity and persuasivenessDevelop compliance matrices and ensure strict adherence to solicitation requirementsOversee development of past performance, resumes, and supporting documentationMaintain and enhance proposal knowledge repositories for future reuseLeverage emerging generative AI tools to improve efficiency, content quality, and tone alignmentEnsure all submissions reflect brand standards and organizational processes What You Bring9+ years of experience leading and writing technical proposals within the Federal IT marketManagement experience leading a small teamStrong working knowledge of the Shipley proposal methodology (including color team reviews, compliance tracking, and structured development processes)Demonstrated success collaborating with technical SMEs to synthesize complex IT solutions into clear, compelling proposal narrativesExperience developing technical volumes, pricing narratives, and past performance documentationExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with mastery of English grammar and compositionStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to distill complex information into unified messagingAdvanced Microsoft Word expertise; proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat ProfessionalExperience supporting knowledge management and proposal content librariesAbility to manage multiple high-priority efforts simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentsUnderstanding of the Federal contracting landscape and procurement processesExperience identifying and implementing forward-thinking process improvements, including leveraging technology and emerging tools to improve proposal development efficiency and collaboration Preferred:Familiarity with generative AI tools for content development and optimization Why This Role MattersYou will play a pivotal role in driving organizational growth by delivering proposals that clearly communicate value, differentiate solutions, and align with federal mission objectives.
