You will design, optimise, and support electrical distribution systems across industrial facilities while ensuring alignment with operational, safety, and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and optimise electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilitiesDevelop one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, system layouts, and perform load calculationsIntegrate advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage solutionsImplement robust safety measures including arc flash mitigation and fault detection systemsProvide technical expertise for new construction projects and upgrades to existing facilitiesParticipate in complex engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budgetEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutionsSupport procurement processes for electrical equipment and materialsParticipate in commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical systemsPerform additional duties as requiredRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institutionORBachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited) in a relevant field plus Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and 4+ years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centres, or related industriesMinimum 10 years of relevant engineering experienceTechnical RequirementsCore ExpertiseHands-on experience designing and supporting power distribution systemsStrong knowledge of high-voltage equipment including transformers, generators, switchgear, and related componentsExperience developing electrical schematics, system layouts, and performing load calculationsKnowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing mitigation improvementsWorking knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC applicationsPower xaygatp Systems & AnalysisExperience with power system design, analysis, and simulation tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, or similarUnderstanding of grid integration and renewable energy systemsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) licensureMaster’s degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience with PLC and HMI systemsExperience in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC project environmentsProject management experienceExperience supporting instrumentation system design and implementationExperience participating in commissioning, testing, and startup activitiesKey CompetenciesStrong organisational and interpersonal skillsSafety-first mindsetAbility to balance technical depth with project leadershipClear communication and presentation skills
