This full-time position requires a commitment to excellence in cleaning and facility maintenance, ensuring that all areas of the school are well-kept and conducive to a positive educational experience.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.Empty trash receptacles and recycle bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.Assist with setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities.Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and safe environment for all students and staff.Perform seasonal cleaning tasks such as window washing, floor waxing, and carpet cleaning as required.Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance cleaning skills and techniques.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as furniture and cleaning equipment.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.A valid driver's license may be required for certain tasks or responsibilities.
