Cloud7Works is an Inc. 5000 ranked company (#835, 2025) and Washington Technology Fast 50 (#13, 2024).About the role:Cloud7Works is hiring for a mid-level Microsoft Power Platform Developer to support a federal customers regional headquarters in San Diego. The organization runs a distributed set of service delivery sites and a headquarters staff that still coordinates a great deal of its work through email, shared spreadsheets, and manual handoffs.This is a single-seat, high-visibility position. You will sit with the headquarters team, learn how their processes actually run, and replace the manual ones with production-grade Power Platform solutions. The work spans discovery, build, deployment, training, and documentation — you own the full lifecycle of what you deliver.The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing a Power Fx expression and walking a non-technical manager through why the new dashboard tells them something the old spreadsheet could not.What you'll doSolution Development and AutomationAnalyze business processes and translate them into automated Power Platform solutions.Design, develop, configure, and maintain production-ready solutions using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows, and business process flows), Power BI, Microsoft Dataverse, and approved connectors.Build and deploy an automated intake and ticketing solution that routes and tracks requests by area of specialty.Integrate solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other approved enterprise systems.Deliver secure, scalable, maintainable applications that eliminate manual steps and reduce administrative burden.Work within the clients Power Platform Center of Excellence standards for solution packaging, environment strategy, naming conventions, security roles, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy.Data Visualization and ReportingDesign, develop, and publish interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that give leadership and staff actionable, near real-time insight.Build robust data models on Dataverse, SharePoint, or other approved sources, with attention to data quality, refresh performance, and row-level security.Testing, Deployment, and SustainmentWrite and execute test plans covering system integration and user acceptance testing.Promote solutions through development, test, and production environments using authorized deployment tooling and processes.Provide post-deployment support following each major release.Troubleshoot and resolve app, flow, and report issues within agreed response times.Training and Knowledge TransferDevelop role-based training materials — user guides, quick reference cards, job aids, and short video tutorials.Deliver instructor-led and virtual training to end users and client administrators.Run train-the-trainer sessions so client staff can maintain and extend the solutions independently.DocumentationProduce and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, role-based user and administrator guides, technical design documents, data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, and maintenance procedures.Deliver documentation in approved formats and store it in the client's designated SharePoint or Teams location.Agile Delivery and ReportingPlan, track, and report status for all planned, in-progress, and completed work using agile methods.Provide basic agile orientation to stakeholders as needed.Support ad hoc projects for the headquarters staff as they arise.RequiredAt least one current Microsoft certification: PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant), PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), PL-400 (Power Platform Developer Associate), or PL-100 (Power Platform Fundamentals — minimum acceptable).3–5 years of hands-on experience building enterprise solutions with Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerBI.Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade solutions in a Microsoft 365 tenant.Experience integrating Power Platform with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 services.Working knowledge of agile development methodologies.Proven ability to document user-based processes and run multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication — you can explain a technical design to a non-technical stakeholder and adjust the message to the audience.Strong documentation, training, organizational, and customer-service skills.Able to work independently and as part of a small team.U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to pass a federal background investigation.PreferredPrior experience supporting a federal or public sector customer.Experience working within a Power Platform Center of Excellence framework, including DLP policy and environment governance.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 government cloud tenants.Experience standing up intake, ticketing, or case-management solutions on Dataverse.Working Conditions: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, business hours Pacific Time, excluding federal holidays.Primary work location is client-furnished workspace in San Diego; hybrid telework is available subject to client policy and approval.Occasional regional travel may be required, with expenses reimbursed under federal travel cost principles.The client furnishes workspace, utilities, laptop, and office equipment.Onboarding includes a background investigation, credentialing, mandatory training, and a signed non-disclosure agreement, all completed before network access.
