We are extremely proud of our legacy of excellence and constantly work to fulfill our mission to "protect people, enhance lives, and preserve the planet."What do our Aquatic Technicians do?The primary purposes for this role is preserving the natural ecological balance of our aquatic ecosystems while providing our clients with superior value and expertise in the field. Aquatic Technicians play a key role in preserving our environment. When these technicians service aquatics it helps to ensure the health of the water and the safety of those who use it.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following:Operate a motorboat multiple times throughout the day and attach to assigned vehicle Treat water for algae, submersed weeds, shoreline weeds, non-desirable buffer vegetation and any other unwanted vegetationAt times obtain water samples to send to the lab for water quality analysisProvide superior service and fulfil all company contracts, service orders, and related customer needsRemove nuisance, invasive vegetation through manual removal efforts (occasionally)Work with experienced Aquatic Specialists in the field to gain knowledge on servicing aspects of water body managementGreat communication skills to discuss the service effectively with customers Essential Job Functions:Ability to follow established procedures and practicesCommitment to all health and safety guidelinesEffective verbal and listening communication skillsAttention to detail and a high level of accuracyMechanically inclined (preferred)Ability to operate trailers and aquatic vessels (preferred)Knowledge of aquatic vegetation (preferred)The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, and feel.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.What do you need?High school diploma or GED1-2 years of experience working independently in an outdoor environment preferredStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnHave strong written and verbal skillsAvailable to work Monday-Friday and weekends as neededMust possess a valid driver's license from state of residenceWork Conditions:Mostly outside (without protection from weather; extreme heat-above 100 and/or cold-below 32 for more than one hour) environmental conditions.Hazardous physical conditions, such as mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding, chemical exposure, and/or high heat.Atmospheric conditions may affect the respiratory system of the skin, such as fumes, mold, mist, gas, poor ventilation.Exposure to animals and insects.Meet physical requirements and/or pass medical certification in compliance with state and/or federal regulatory requirements and company safety policies relating to carrying and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to an OSHA compliant respirator.#RTX100Why Choose Us?A career with the Rentokil family of companies can be a professional trajectory filled with opportunity.
