Senior Java Software Engineer Ft. Meade Area, MD • Government/Military Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph Full-Time | Fully Funded | $200K - $220K | 40 Hours/Week Keep the Mission Running. Helm Point Solutions is a woman-owned cybersecurity and physical security firm supporting the nation's most critical systems and infrastructure. We are supporting a fully funded, mission-critical program in the Ft. Meade area and are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to help build and maintain a large-scale enterprise system used by the U.S. Intelligence Community. This role offers long-term stability, technically challenging work, and the opportunity to work alongside elite engineering teams supporting national security missions. This is not a maintenance role. Engineers on this team are responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying new capabilities in an Agile, DevOps-driven environment. What You'll Do In this role, you will:Design and develop enterprise Java applications using Spring and modern frameworksBuild and maintain RESTful web services and backend business logicDevelop automated unit, integration, and behavior-driven testsWork in a SAFe/Agile environment with sprint planning, PI planning, and daily stand-upsCollaborate with engineers, testers, and system architects to deliver high-quality softwareSupport deployments to test and production environments using CI/CD pipelines What You Bring Required Qualifications:Strong, professional experience with JavaExperience with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Data, or related frameworks)Experience with enterprise Java technologies such as JPA, Hibernate, or Java EEExperience building or consuming RESTful web servicesExperience working with relational or NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or MockitoExperience working in an Agile environmentExperience using source control tools such as Git Why Helm Point?
