The driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a large commercial vehicle to deliver inventory and equipment. All safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods must be followed. The ideal candidate would already have their Commercial Drivers License (CDL). The driver will also be responsible for receiving cargo, parking in appropriate docks, tracking mileage, and documenting schedules, inventory delivery confirmation, and manifests. Qualified candidates will be disciplined, dependable, and resourceful, making safety a priority at all times./ppEssential Functions and Responsibilities:/pulliFully understand how to operate and safely drive the assigned delivery vehicle and maintain it/liliPull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs./liliEnsure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit to prevent breakage or damage/liliTransport inventory and equipment from the place of origin to assigned destination/liliPick up loads and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner/liliSafely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations/liliPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip/liliMaintain detailed driving and delivery logs; track and report working hours/liliAdhere to company, ICC, and DOT rules and regulations/liliObey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions/liliNotify manager of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered/li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliSkilled at driving large vehicles and comfortable maneuvering and parking/liliProficient using GPS and other routing systems and have an innate sense of direction/liliHigh level of composure and good stress management/liliAbility to follow simple verbal and written directions/liliAble to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc./li/ulpRequired Education and Experience:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/liliMust have a valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record/liliMust pass a background check and drug test/li/ulpPreferred Education and Experience:/pulliPrevious experience operating commercial vehicles/li/ulpAdditional Eligibility Qualifications:/pulliMust be willing and able to travel out of town with occasional overnight stays to assigned projects/liliMust be able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis/li/ulpPhysical Demands:/pulliThis position typically requires balancing, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, hearing, and talking./li/ulpWorking Conditions:/pulliThe employee will be exposed to varying weather conditions as they will be driving in all types of conditions./lipTravel:/pulliThis position may require travel, which could include traveling to projects in different cities and overnight stays./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliPlease note that only applications from individuals residing in the United States will be considered for this position./li/ul/ul/div
