Personal Injury Paralegal

Job Description Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Personal Injury Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception through settlement or trial. You will play a crucial role in maintaining communication with clients, managing case files, and handling various aspects of litigation.Key Responsibilities:Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing a caseload of personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, premises liability, and other tort claims.Client Communication: Communicate with clients, providing case updates, answering questions, and relaying information between clients and attorneys.Document Preparation: Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, and settlement demands. Prepare discovery responses and requests.Investigation: Gather medical records, police reports, photographs, and other essential documentation. Assist in the investigation of claims and factual development of cases.Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits, witness lists, and other materials for trials. Assist attorneys in preparation for depositions and hearings.Settlement Negotiations: Assist in calculating damages, preparing demand packages, and communicating with insurance adjusters during settlement negotiations.Calendaring and Scheduling: Maintain attorney calendars, schedule client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.Qualifications:Education: Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of 2 years working as a paralegal in personal injury law.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal case management software, and e-filing procedures.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
