and relaxationAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to provide dynamic, front-facing leadership and to be actively involved with the Board and Committees. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the club and community, with a focus on financial stewardship, strategic planning, and enhancing the member and staff experience. This role requires a leader with a deep knowledge of club and community operations, particularly in the areas of financial budgeting, and a proven track record of results in governance and leadership partnership. The GM/COO will be the primary driver of personalized service, and member and staff experience, and will be expected to stay ahead of changing demographic expectations. Key attributes include being a consummate hospitality professional, exceptionally strong in communication, and a natural mentor with the ability to lead a large, active operation.Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should have extensive experience in business management and administration, with a preference for a business degree and a CAM license. The role demands an individual with exceptional financial acumen, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage a large operation with a focus on detail and maintenance. The GM/COO will be expected to have a hands-on approach, be proactive, and engage in the strategic execution of plans to ensure the community remains a premier destination. Initial priorities for the role include observing, listening, and learning, as well as developing strong relationships with the Board, Committees, and members.
