This role focuses on commercial auto lines and offers strong long-term growth potential, including the opportunity to advance into a team lead or supervisory role. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in actuarial principles, P&C insurance experience, and a desire to grow within a collaborative actuarial team. Key Responsibilities:Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing, rate indications, and profitability evaluations for commercial auto productsAssist in building and maintaining rating models, assumptions, and documentation.Analyze loss experience, trends, and exposures, and prepare actuarial insights to support business decisionsSupport reserve analysis, loss trend projections, and related actuarial tasksPrepare accurate and well-organized actuarial reports, exhibits, and presentations for managementCollaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and risk teams to align actuarial assumptions with business strategyCommunicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to business partners and managementStay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risk factors in P&C insuranceParticipate in process improvement, automation efforts, and actuarial best practicesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field3+ years of professional actuarial experience in the P&C insurance industryStrong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable working with large datasetsAdvanced Excel skills; familiarity with tools like SQL, R, Python, or SAS is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesDetail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred:Experience working with Commercial Auto insuranceProgress toward or completion of actuarial exams and pursuit of an actuarial certification (ACAS)Familiarity with predictive modeling or data visualizationExperience working in a multi-state regulatory environmentBenefitsMedical (PPO), dental (PPO), vision (PPO), and life insurance covered 100% by the company and 50% for dependentsPaid time off and sick leave13 annual paid holidays401(k) plan with up to 4% company matchFlexible Spending Account (FSA) & Dependent Care FSAQuarterly Fringe Benefit reimbursementsJob-related training reimbursementCasual dress codeAbout UsAt DB Insurance USA, we carry forward a legacy of excellence that began in South Korea in 1962 and expanded to the U.S. in 1984.
