Union Mobile Route Technician
**About the Role:**As a CBRE Union Mobile Route Tech, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for a building, industrial system, vehicle, and equipment.This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.**What You'll Do:**+ Conduct maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems for multiple facilities to keep building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.+ Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair.+ Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.+ Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.+ Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.+ Operate company issued vehicle in execution of daily work responsibilities.+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.+ Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.+ Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.**What You'll Need:**+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid Driver's License Required.+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.*Should any element of this Job Description conflict with the provisions of an applicable collective bargaining agreement, the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement will prevail.What You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.Intermediate math skills. The negotiated rate for the Union Mobile Route Technician position is $42.83 per hour.
