This role leads a team of direct reports and is accountable for accurate fleet data management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The Supervisor directs daily fleet operations, develops and implements fleet policies and procedures, manages vendor relationships, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fleet performance and cost effectiveness across the enterprise.Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities/ExpectationsLeads and supervises the fleet support team, including hiring, performance management, coaching, professional development, and accountability for service deliveryDirects enterprise fleet strategy including capital planning, fleet right-sizing, sustainability initiatives, and total cost of ownership optimizationOversees enterprise-wide FMCSA and DOT compliance programs and serves as escalation point and representative during regulatory audits and inquiriesPrepares, implements, and oversees OPEX and CAPEX budget forecasts, audits and approves invoices, and reports fleet financial metrics to senior leadershipManages vendor and supplier relationships including contract negotiations, performance management, and competitive sourcing strategiesMaintains and governs fleet policies, procedures, data standards, and technology solutions while driving process improvements and automation initiativesServes as the primary liaison with operations, safety, finance, IT, and procurement to communicate fleet impacts, risks, and opportunitiesOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of ExperienceRequired: High School Diploma or GED and minimum five (5) years of fleet management, fleet operations, transportation logistics, or supply chain management experience with progressive supervisory responsibilityPreferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field and minimum seven (7) years of fleet management experience in the energy, oil and gas, or utilities industry with responsibility for large-scale fleet operations of 2,000 or more assetsOther RequirementsDemonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priorityProficient use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointStrong knowledge of fleet management systems, telematics, GPS tracking, and fleet data analytics platformsWorking knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and other regulatory compliance requirements for commercial fleet operationsDemonstrated leadership ability to supervise, coach, and develop a team of direct reportsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insightsEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to diverse stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentAptitude to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processesAbility to travel domestically approximately 10–20 percent of the time, including overnight travelAbility to work in an office-based setting, sit for extended periods of time, and lift up to 10 poundsPreferred fleet management certifications such as CAFM, CPFP, or similarPreferred experience with fleet technology implementations, data integrations, and system migrationsPreferred experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and KPI developmentPreferred experience with continuous improvement methodologies including Lean or Six SigmaPreferred experience working in a multi-state, geographically dispersed operational environmentPreferred experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for fleet services, The Supervisor of Fleet oversees all aspects of Williams' fleet operations, managing thousands of fleet assets across multiple states.
