This role involves hands-on software development, infrastructure integration, and collaboration within a highly technical, classified defense environment. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient software delivery processes while maintaining compliance with government and organizational standards.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport migration of software development infrastructure to an AWS GovCloud environment.Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.Set up and support development environments, build systems, and toolchains.Troubleshoot and optimize GitLab pipelines, build systems, and deployment workflows.Develop and maintain software using C++11 and Python in a Linux environment.Work with dependency management and artifact repositories such as Nexus and Artifactory.Collaborate daily with engineering teams in an Agile development environment.Participate in object-oriented software design and implementation.Support integration of tools such as Jira and Atlassian suite for development workflows.Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and infrastructure.Perform software testing and support unit test frameworks where applicable.Communicate progress, technical challenges, and solutions with team members and stakeholders.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field required.Active U.S. Secret clearance required (investigation within last 5 years or CE enrollment).U.S. citizenship required.3+ years of AWS GovCloud experience required.3+ years of GitLab experience including CI/CD pipeline development required.5+ years of C++ and Python development experience required.Strong experience in Linux-based software development environments.Experience with object-oriented programming principles.Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.Familiarity with build tools and dependency management systems such as Nexus and Artifactory.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.Ability to work onsite full-time in a secure defense environment.Work ExperienceMinimum of 3–5+ years of relevant software engineering experience required.Experience in defense, aerospace, or classified environments preferred.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field required.#ZR
