Sales Director

OverviewWe are partnered with a leading provider of smart building solutions and HVAC controls services seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and grow a high-performing regional operation within the building automation industry.This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual with a strong background in HVAC controls, energy solutions, service operations, and strategic sales leadership. The successful candidate will oversee regional business performance, drive revenue growth, develop sales strategy, and lead operational excellence across multiple teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead overall business performance with full responsibility for regional P&L, sales growth, and operational executionDevelop and execute strategic growth plans to expand market share and profitabilityBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales and operations teamDrive HVAC controls and building automation sales across owner-direct, plan/spec, retrofit, and service marketsDevelop key relationships with end users, consulting engineers, contractors, ESCOs, and strategic accountsEstablish and manage sales KPIs including pipeline growth, forecasting accuracy, conversion rates, and margin performanceIdentify and penetrate new vertical markets and regional opportunitiesOversee pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and commercial risk managementPartner closely with project management and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfactionRepresent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and networking functionsFoster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvementIdeal BackgroundProven leadership experience within Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC Controls, Energy Services, or Smart BuildingsStrong track record of growing revenue and leading successful sales teamsExperience managing both sales and operational functions within a technical services environmentDemonstrated P&L management experienceStrong knowledge of the HVAC controls marketplace including mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and owner-direct salesExcellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skillsStrategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term growth and day-to-day operational executionExperience developing service-based business models and recurring revenue streams is highly desirableCompensation & BenefitsHighly competitive base salary + performance-based incentivesExecutive leadership opportunity with significant growth potentialComprehensive healthcare and retirement benefitsPTO and holiday packageOpportunity to join a rapidly growing organization within the smart buildings sector
