Job DescriptionJob Title: Digital Verification CAD EngineerPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Digital Verification CAD Engineer with our client located in San Jose, CA.Job Description:We are seeking a Digital Verification CAD Engineer to partner closely with verification engineers to enhance and streamline verification methodologies.This role focuses on leveraging AI-driven tools to resolve flow inefficiencies, improve productivity, and introduce advanced automation into the digital verification environment.Job Responsibilities:Collaborate with digital verification engineers to identify and resolve methodology and flow issues.Develop, integrate, and maintain CAD tools supporting the digital verification flow.Apply AI/ML techniques to improve verification productivity, debug efficiency, and coverage closure.Drive adoption of AI-based solutions within existing verification frameworks.Analyze bottlenecks in simulation, regression, and debug flows, and propose scalable solutions.Automate repetitive tasks and improve tool usability and performance.Provide technical support and training to verification teams on new methodologies and tools.Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.Strong understanding of digital verification flow (e.g., simulation, regression, coverage, debug).Experience with System Verilog, UVM, or similar verification methodologies.Proficiency in programming/scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, or similar).Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI/ML tools or frameworks applied to engineering workflows.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Experience in EDA AI Platforms: Cadence Verisium Preferred Qualifications.Experience developing CAD or EDA tools for verification environmentsFamiliarity with regression management systems and large-scale simulation environmentsExposure to data analytics, ML model integration, or LLM-based tooling in engineering flowsExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelinesStrong communication skills and ability to drive methodology changes Work EnvironmentCollaborative environment working closely with verification and design teams.Job Details:Job Type: ContractPay Range: $90-$120 an hour.Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite).Benefits Package: Protingent offers competitive salaries, insurance plan options (HDHP plan or POS plan), education/certification reimbursement, pre-tax commuter benefits, Paid Time Off (PTO), and an administered 401k plan.About Protingent: Protingent is an Award-Winning provider of top-tier Engineering and IT talent, trusted by companies at the forefront of innovation — from Software and Aerospace to AI, Clean Tech, Medical Devices, and Connected Technologies.
