Join BRN and help us reshape brain injury rehab!*Position Requirements:* Evaluate current functioning including (but not limited to) reviewing prior medical history, conducting client/family interview(s), administering standardized testing, and contributing recommendations and goals to the interdisciplinary treatment plan. Identify impairments and other obstacles to optimal functioning in home and community. Collaborate with the client and support system to establish treatment goals addressing impairments and promoting independence and quality of life. Develop treatment plans with personalized treatment goals. Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, utilizing appropriate procedures and protocols. Facilitate all appropriate specialty referrals Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment/devices to promote independent functioning. Consult with an interdisciplinary treatment team regarding maximizing the transition of rehab skills and strategies to home and community. Contribute fully to the training, skills, and professional development of peers, students, volunteer observers, etc. Request and/or obtain necessary supplies and equipment for the clinic as well as items specific to client treatment. Set a positive example for all BRN team members by engaging in positive, non-defensive, solution-focused, and collegial communication and relationships with all stakeholders including family members, teammates, community partners, referral sources, physicians, insurers, nurse case managers, and vocational counselors, acting at all times as an ambassador for BRN. Attend & actively participate in client and team conferences and meetings, and other BRN gatherings as expected. Maintain current working knowledge of procedures and policies.
