Job Duties
Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OSHA standards
Read and interpret drawings
Cut and shape materials, and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue
Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and meet required specifications
Build and assemble concrete forms
Build and assemble shelters for welding and other weather sensitive work
Attend required safety and toolbox meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
One to four years of experience as an Apprentice or Journeyman Carpenter
Ability to complete work accurately and follow all safety procedures
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Organized and self-motivated
Pre-employment drug testing, alcohol screening, and background check are required as a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements
Must comply with company drug and alcohol policy
Ability to pass physical examination as required
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and maintain balance
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance recommended for heavier items
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to work on uneven surfaces such as dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, or gravel
Work Environment
Work is performed at an active construction jobsite in Sherman, Texas
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain
Fast paced, safety driven environment with strict adherence to OSHA and site protocols
Regular interaction with craft professionals, supervisors, and site leadership
