Administrates the day to day operation of the following departments:Prep/Recovery UnitPost Anesthesia Care UnitPreadmission Testing UnitServes as a role model for professional nursing practiceMaintains 24-hour a day line management and responsibility in administration of personnel, fiscal, and material resourcesUtilizes the hospital mission to implement system changes in health care delivery that maintain quality patient care and fiscal integrityCreatively responds to changes in the work settingParticipates in program planning for new projectsKnowledgeable in clinical areas of supervision, using defined processes to establish goals and outcomes which reflect systems integration in today's dynamic health care environment. Licenses and Certifications RequiredCurrent or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.BLS certification required within orientation period.ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment in position.TNCC preferred.Specialty certification in area of practice is desirable. Educational RequirementsRN program as evidenced by licensure.Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where Degree was received. Experience RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of successful nursing practice, which have included a supervisory/leadership role.Previous PACU experience preferred. Special Skills or Training RequirementsMust have effective communication skills.
