Inventory Specialist

At Utz Brands, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our High Street team in Hanover, PA. In this role, you’ll support both production and receiving operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and driving continuous improvement across inventory processes.You’ll work closely with plant leadership, logistics, and warehouse teams to maintain strong inventory controls and support operational success. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, stay highly organized, and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, team-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesLead and support end-of-month and year-end inventory activities, including physical counts and reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actionsTrack and correct scanning, transaction, and process errors to improve inventory accuracyMaintain accurate inventory transactions across systems such as ADP, D365, and Yard ManagementMonitor material variances and communicate impacts to production, service levels, and leadershipPerform daily audits of inventory locations to ensure accuracy, labeling, and compliance with standardsPartner with plant leadership, operations, and supply chain teams to proactively address inventory issuesPrepare and distribute daily inventory reports and KPIs to support decision-makingProvide insights for inventory planning, including excess and obsolete materialsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and system/process enhancementsParticipate in GMP, safety, and inventory control audits to ensure complianceSupport loss prevention and shrink reduction efforts through monitoring and investigationPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and inventory accuracyProvide support for urgent issues, including occasional after-hours communication as neededRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in inventory control, warehouse, or manufacturing environmentExperience with inventory counts, reconciliation, and audit processesFamiliarity with inventory systems such as ADP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Yard Management, or similarForklift certification or ability to obtain certificationAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a teamStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data tracking and auditsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsProblem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and correct process issuesKnowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards preferredFlexibility to support business needs, including occasional after-hours communicationOur Recruitment ProcessEasy Application (5 mins): Introduce yourself and answer a few key questions to get started.Engaging Chat Interview (20-25 mins): Share your experiences in an online chat, highlighting how your values align with ours.Live Interview: Selected candidates will meet with the hiring manager to explore their alignment with the team and overall Utz company culture.Continuously Pursuing Excellence!Here at Utz, we have a passion for exciting and delighting consumers with delicious snack foods made from high quality ingredients.
