Automotive Technician

We're assisting our local employer to hire an experienced automotive technician:Job Responsibilities of Automotive Technician: Perform automotive maintenance and repairs.Assist technician mechanics in performing technical activities. Diagnose and repair: Brake and hydraulic braking systems Exhaust and primary and/or advanced fuel ignition systems Electrical circuitry, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems. Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology. Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur. Maintain an organized neat and safe bay. ASE certifications are preferred for this position. A willingness to obtain additional certifications (i.e.. L1 Master Tech) is preferred. Must be willing to obtain ASE Certifications: willing to pay for certification once the test is passed. You will also need a high level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude. Valid driver license is required to test drive vehicles. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of Mechanic Experience Minimum 5 years working as a technician Must be able to read, write and spell correctly in English. Ability to type 45 wpm Valid driver license is required to test drive vehicles. Full Time – Days Pay -Pay determined upon skill and experience level. Will be discussed at interview.
