Production FloaterLocation: Northampton, MA (175 Industrial Drive)Pay Rate: $19.00/hour (W-2)Schedule:1st shift preferred (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 30-minute lunch)2nd and 3rd shift candidates will also be consideredPosition OverviewSeeking reliable and detail-oriented Production Floaters to support manufacturing operations within its Ceramics division. This role involves hands-on production work from raw materials through finished goods, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the process.Key ResponsibilitiesWork safely at all times while following company safety policies and proceduresSupport end-to-end production processes including mixing, extrusion, drying, cutting, and firingProduce various rod types according to production schedules set by the Production CoordinatorBalance multiple production steps efficiently to meet customer demand and quality standardsTrack and manage raw materials, consumables, and in-process inventoryCollaborate with Process Engineering and Management to troubleshoot quality or production issuesComplete required production and quality documentation accuratelyPerform start-up, shutdown, and clean-out of production equipmentAdjust processing parameters to meet final product specificationsProperly store raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goodsOperate forklifts to move pallets, raw materials, and totes (as needed)Occasionally work at elevated heights using ladders or platformsPack finished goods for shipment and assist with loading/unloading trucksMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipmentQualificationsGED or High School Diploma preferredManufacturing or industrial experience is a plusForklift experience preferred (not required)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresTeam-oriented mindset with good communication skillsAbility to stand, reach, bend, push, and perform physical tasks throughout the shiftMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassistedAdditional InformationShift Preference: 1st shift preferred; 2nd and 3rd shifts also welcomeOvertime: As required based on production needsWork Environment: Manufacturing / industrial setting
