Let us know during the hiring process, you may be eligible to earn an extra $1.25/hourPosition ResponsibilitiesProvides initial and ongoing assessments of clients, including client history, evaluation of problems, and formulation of diagnosis.Develops initial and ongoing treatment plans which describe the goals of treatment and the methods to be used.Provides integrated individual, family and group counseling and psychotherapy to assist clients in achieving the goals of treatment.Provides appropriate treatment response to clients and their families, including implementation of evidence-based treatment models.Assists clients with links to appropriate internal BBH supports/services & external community resources to enhance treatment and recovery.With appropriate releases of information, communicates with others in client service systems to coordinate care. Such contact may include, but not limited to, primary care physicians, insurance companies and other service providers involved in the care of clients.Conducts risk assessment and formulates Safety Plans.Provides appropriate case management, including work with Erie County Department of Social Services (ECDSS), schools, probation, Primary Care Providers (PCP), mental health court, criminal justice system and any other applicable external agencies.Responds and directs care appropriately for clients in crisis.Utilizes a harm reduction model in treatment.Performs (or coordinates) toxicology screenings as clinically appropriate.Provides Social Skills Training, Substance Abuse Treatment, Behavioral Activation, Coping Skills Training, and Psycho-education.Rotating on-call responsibilities with other team members.Meets agency Key Performance Indicators.Maintains client confidentiality at all times following all agency and HIPPA policies.Completes all trainings required by the agency.Performs all other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or CASAC-T/CASAC-P required.Professional licensure: LMSW, LMFT, MHC-P, CASAC, CRC, LMHC, LCSW preferred.2 years of experience working with children & families is preferredMust have knowledge of a variety of intervention techniques, including motivational enhancement; common mental disabilities, chemical dependency interventions and resources.Excellent communication skills.Must be familiar with community resources to be able to appropriately link clients.Minimum proficiency with Windows based software applications is required.Must have experience with Electronic Medical Records databases and basic computer skills.Must appreciate cultural diversity and be aware of cross cultural counseling issues.Some Things You Can Look Forward ToWelcoming, team environment, that inspires you to thrive and be your BestSelf!Rewarding work experience!Generous paid time offFlexible scheduleQuarterly productivity bonus up to $2,000 per quarterVarious student loan forgiveness programsMultiple and diverse health insurance optionsMany other unique lifestyle & personal insurance optionsTuition reimbursementCASAC certification tuition supportProfessional license/certification renewal reimbursementDefensive driving course reimbursement (if required for position)Career growth and advancement opportunitiesWe look forward to telling you more!LocationBestResponse Intensive Crisis Center: 430 Niagara Street, Buffalo NY 14201Salary RangeDetermined based on education, level of licensure/certification, and experience.Increases given when new licensure obtained.Unlicensed Counselors35 hours per week: $43,500-$51,986.53 per year full time or $23.91-$28.57 per hour part time37.5 hours per week: $46,607.14-$55,699.85 per year full time or $23.91-$28.57 per hour part time40 hours per week: $49,714.28-$59,413.17 per year full time or $23.91-$28.57 per hour part timeLicensed Counselors35 hours per week: $45,500-$57,961.99 per year full time or $25-$31.85 per hour part time37.5 hours per week: $48,750-$62,102.13 per year full time or $25-$31.85 per hour part time40 hours per week: $52,000-$66,242.27 per year full time or $25-$31.85 per hour part time
