3rd shift Electronics Maintenance Technician
Position SummarySUMMARY OF POSITION:Build and perform tests on electronics, electrical systems, and components to determine operability. Performs a variety of maintenance activities in addition to electro-mechanical duties.Organizational Relationships/ ScopeReport directly to the Plant Manufacturing Engineering ManagerWork closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipmentResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning circuits and wiring. Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters, watt meters, etc. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment. Install and activate new equipment. General maintenance activities which may involve hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, steam and electrical.Department Specific/ Non-essential FunctionsWork safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.Maintain production schedules.Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. Walking, carrying, stooping, bending, reaching & lifting are done on a frequent basis.
