The CNC Operator must demonstrate skills and knowledge required to maintain the operation of a CNC machine and fulfill the essential functions of the job.Reports to: CNC Supervisor / ManagerKey Responsibilities:Clean and maintain machine, tooling, and parts in optimal production condition.Work safely, following all safety regulations, to prevent injuries.Meet production requirements as defined on product routing and notify supervisor immediately if goal cannot be attained.Observe machine observations to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper.Inspect work pieces throughout the production run, for out-of-tolerance machining and record all required readings.Work as a team to troubleshoot manufacturing problems and perform quality assurance checks of the work being performed.Ensure machine is running correctly to prevent damage to the machine or tooling.QualificationsJob Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED EquivalentExperience:1 to 3 years of experience CNC machines and mechanical toolsRequirements and Certifications:Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Forklift truck experience is a plusDemonstrate mathematical skills such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAble to read, write and understand work instructions and visual drawingsDemonstrate strong attention to detailsAble to work independently and in a teamMust be able to communicate in EnglishThis job description does not state or imply that the above are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.
