We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Infrastructure division and build innovative projects in the transit and transportation sectors, such as roads, highways/freeways, bridges, interchanges, LRTs, BRTs, and airports. About the Role The HR Officer will actively recruit new employees, screen applicants, conduct interviews and place new hires. Administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has a passion for marketing, recruiting and working with people's needs, as well as having experience with HR procedures and laws. Ultimately, they should be able to ensure our HR department supports our team by actively attracting, hiring and helping retain great employees that fit our core values. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Recruitment and Hiring: Actively Marketing and recruiting new employees, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and placing new hires. Maintain and update company website Training and Development: Plan and organize staff training and development activities to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, performance issues, and employee support services. Payroll and Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs. Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules) Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Policy Development: Help develop/revise and implement company HR policies and procedures. Employee Recordkeeping: Maintain confidential employee records. Requirements and skills Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular) Thorough knowledge of labor laws Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills As a Human Resource Officer at HCI, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures.
