Grocery Clerk - Retail

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Grocery Clerk to join our team at SunFresh. As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.This is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active, interacting with guests, and taking ownership of keeping the store looking its best while delivering great service.Key Responsibilities & Job DutiesProvide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visitsStock, rotate, and face products to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and ensure an appealing presentationMaintain clean, organized, and fully stocked aisles to enhance the shopping experience and uphold store standardsAssist guests with locating products, answering questions, and making recommendationsDevelop and maintain knowledge of store products, including features, pricing, and location to better support guests and drive salesUnload deliveries, break down shipments, and organize backstock efficiently and safelyMonitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to support product availability and reduce shrinkEnsure proper product placement, pricing accuracy, and signage executionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote health, safety, and a professional appearanceFollow all workplace safety, food safety, and sanitation standardsOperate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, scanners, and POS systems as neededCommunicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leadership to support efficient store operationsCollaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest hospitality goalsAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standardsSupport loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper proceduresParticipate in required trainings and continuous learning to support personal and team developmentRemain productive during slower periods by cleaning, organizing, restocking, or supporting other departmentsOther job duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsRequired: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceRequired: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred: Experience in grocery, retail, stocking, or warehouse environments
