You will develop and maintain effective collaborative and respectful relationships with children, families, early childhood professionals and regulatory departments, and ensure privacy and confidentiality is maintained.You will also provide high quality care to the children and respond to their emotional needs to maintain trust, develop nurturing relationships, guide positive relationships and ensure the dignity and rights of each child are maintained. As well as support the development, planning and implementation of a quality educational program reflective of the National Learning Framework in consultation with children, families, and educators.The position is permanent full time role at our Hillsdale Centre which currently exceeds the National Quality Framework that reflect the children and families in the service.You Can Also Expect ToCoordinate, supervise and provide professional support and development for all Educators/staff (including Educational Leader) to ensure appropriate care and education meets the needs of children and families at the Service.Implement strategies to ensure the overall cleanliness, tidiness, security, safety of the Service, supervision of, of flexible and simulating learning environments.Oversee the planning and provision of well balanced and varied meals to meet the nutritional requirements for children in the Service.Be informed of and liaise with relevant stakeholders on wider Children’s Services issues and advocate to management and other agencies on issues to continually improve the delivery and function of the Service.Support Educational Leaders and evaluate programs to ensure reflective practice, to meet the Service philosophy and objectives.Develop and review policies and procedures in consultation with the Coordinator Early Education and Care and relevant stakeholders to maintain regulatory compliance.Oversight the financial management aspects of the service to manage income and expenditure within budget parameters.Implement strategies for the regular update and maintenance of accurate records of children and families to ensure privacy, confidentiality, and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.Keep up to date documentation required for assessment and rating processes.Undertaking mandatory reporting to adhere to Child Protection guidelines and responsibilities.Continue to embed strong connections with our local communities.Support the implementation of Child Safe policies, embedding child safe practices across the service.About YouWe are looking for a someone who demonstrates:Approved Early Childhood Teaching degree and relevant experience working with children 0 – 5 years.Current Teacher Accreditation Number – NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).Current First Aid and CPR certificate relevant to the role.Working with Children Check (NSW).Approved Child Protection training.Foundations of Child Safety Training Certificate.Working knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulation, Child Protection and Child Safe legislation and regulation and National Quality Framework.A genuine commitment to childCurrent Right to Work in Australia.Current Drivers Licence Class C.(preferred)Proven leadership experience in an early childhood settingExcellent communication skillsA genuine commitment to child safety and inclusion.Our Benefits And CultureAs an organisation, we pride ourselves in offering a flexible working environment centred on delivering great outcomes for our customers, whether internal or external.The Community Life team have a strong culture of collaboration and delivering exciting new initiatives.On Top Of The Competitive Salary, Our People EnjoyOn site renewal of certificationsTime in lieu for afterhours meetingsAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramFree flu vaccinationsNappy change allowanceSalary sacrificingTraining and career advancementNo afterhours cleaningRostered day off once a month20 annual leave days3 days Children’s Services Special Leave3 extra days off during Christmas each year15 days sick leave each year2 days health and wellbeing leaveFitness passport accessAccess to free fitness classesAdditional parental leave entitlements for both parentsStaff development dayCentralised administrationApply nowBefore submitting your application, please take the time to read the Position Description by clicking the paperclip button located in the top right section of this page.
