Press Operator

We are hiring a Press Operator for our 2nd and 3rd shift at our Concord, NC facility. 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM Responsibilities Set up the press according to job specifications Oversee the print run, ensuring proper color registration, ink density and overall print quality Perform make-ready tasks Make necessary adjustments to the press settings to maintain high-quality standards Coordinate with the 2nd press operator and other support staff to ensure smooth production processes Perform scheduled press approvals Obtain material requisition from docket and forward to the feeder, ensuring that the proper stock is being used Delegate duties to 2nd Press Operator Ensure that the order is produced to proper docket specifications Ensure regular scans are conducted throughout the product run Ensure that dot gains are monitored and maintained throughout production run of every item Ensure that samples sheets are pulled throughout the production, date punched, retained and placed in the racks for review Achieve and maintain color to approved color standards or proof Maintain accurate sheet counts Troubleshoot press to help reduce downtime and inefficiencies Perform scheduled maintenance/ repairs and cleaning when required and record in Maintenance Logbook Assist in the training of fellow crew members Maintain and adhere to site safety standards Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction Qualifications/Skills Required Minimum 5-10 years' experience in the Printing industry Technical knowledge of printing process and machines Previous experience in the printing or packaging industry Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment Basic mathematical skills Good organization skills and leadership skills Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction Physical Requirements Safely and effectively handle objects weighing between 30-50 pounds on a consistent basis Stand for extended periods Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Sustain physical endurance for fast-paced work Operate and work near machinery safely About Us Unity Solutions, a Joint Venture between Walker SCM and Max Solutions and takes pride in being a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in our industry.
