This role involves both outpatient and inpatient oncology care, including management of benign hematology and malignant oncology patients. The ideal candidate is experienced in chemotherapy administration, bone marrow transplant management, and comprehensive oncology care.Schedule & CallClinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PMCall Schedule:Tuesday 4:30 PM – Wednesday 8:00 AMFriday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM (on-site rounding Saturday & Sunday)Call Ratio: One rotation every 5–6 weeks, depending on staffingPractice Setting & Patient PopulationSetting: Free-standing cancer centerPatient Population: Adult and geriatricPractice Mix:65% benign hematology35% malignant oncology0% internal medicinePatient Volume:Outpatient: ~15 patients/dayInpatient (call/rounding): ~20 patients/dayClinical ResponsibilitiesManage patients with benign hematology and malignant oncology diagnosesOversee bone marrow transplant patientsAdminister chemotherapy and manage treatment plansOrder and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studiesPrescribe medications as appropriateManage patient phone calls and hospital-related inquiries during call shiftsParticipate in inpatient rounding on weekendsRequirements & CertificationsBoard Certified in Hematology & OncologyActive South Carolina license (or eligible to obtain)BLS and DEA certificationExperience with outpatient and inpatient oncology careCompetence in chemotherapy administration, blood bank management, and oncology proceduresFamiliarity with EPIC EMR systemGreenville offers a vibrant downtown, thriving arts scene, and proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
