CNC Programmer

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs that drive precision machining operations. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components by interpreting mechanical blueprints, programming CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines, and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts with precision. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and tooling specifications. Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly, performing mechanical adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize machining processes, improve cycle times, and enhance product quality. Conduct inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other measurement tools to verify part accuracy against specifications. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, tooling setups, machine parameters, and maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards. Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming for milling machines and lathes within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in CAD software for designing parts and CAM software for programming CNC operations. Knowledge of machining processes including tooling selection, setup procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with 3D printing technology as it relates to prototyping or supplementary manufacturing processes. Ability to operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for precise quality inspections. Understanding of safety protocols related to machine operation and manufacturing environments. Experience with welding, schematics reading, tool setup, and mechanical troubleshooting is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. J Pay: $27.73 - $33.39 per hour Work Location: In person
