Business Finance Manager

Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Business and Finance Manager with 8+ years of experience to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a financial and accounting support function within a collaborative, professional services environment. Experience in a design firm is highly preferred.In this role, you will work closely with Accounting, HR, Senior Leadership, and Project Managers to drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and support operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee accounting, administrative, and HR staffCoordinate team schedules, training, and workflow managementEnsure compliance with all applicable government regulationsImplement processes and procedures to enhance profitabilityManage and respond to insurance auditsPartner with HR on required filings and regulatory requirementsLead annual corporate insurance reviews and renewalsCollaborate with accounting on monthly financial close processesSupport quarterly break-even analysis and financial reportingAssist with annual audits and financial reviewsRequired QualificationsStrong communication, leadership, and teamwork skillsSolid financial acumen and accounting knowledgeExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA preferredMinimum 8+ years of relevant experienceBackground in a professional services environmentExperience in a mid-sized organizationHands-on involvement in monthly financial and operational close processesComprehensive understanding of accounting data and reportingExperience with cloud-based accounting systems (Deltek Vision is a plus)Ability to think strategically and drive process improvements
