About the Role We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal with 3–5+ years of hands-on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 experience to join our rapidly growing team. This role is for someone who can hit the ground running, manage a full caseload, and work independently with minimal supervision. The right candidate will be comfortable owning 30+ active bankruptcy cases from day one, producing accurate, error-free work, communicating directly with clients, and solving problems proactively. Responsibilities Prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions and schedules Manage and maintain 30+ active bankruptcy cases Review financial documents and analyze assets, exemptions, and potential issues Communicate directly with clients to gather information and documentation Prepare filings, amendments, and supporting documents Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements Work independently to identify and resolve issues before they escalate Maintain organized and accurate case files Qualifications 3–5+ years of bankruptcy paralegal experience Experience handling both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases Strong understanding of bankruptcy forms, exemptions, assets, and case analysis Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work Highly organized with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to problem-solve independently without constant supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Experience with bankruptcy software (NextChapter, BestCase, Jubilee, etc.) required Arizona bankruptcy experience not required, but familiarity with federal bankruptcy procedures is essential Who Will Thrive in This Role This position is best suited for someone who: Thrives in high-volume work and wants to stay busy Thrives under pressure — this is a fast-moving, high-stakes environment and we need someone who performs their best when the heat is on Takes full ownership of their cases Can immediately handle a caseload of 30+ active cases from day one — no ramp-up period Solves problems independently Wants to contribute immediately to a firm on a steep growth trajectory Is motivated by being part of an industry-leading organization Benefits 401(k) with immediate employer match (no waiting period) Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays How to Apply Send your cover letter and resume to powell@skibalaw.com to apply.
