Golf Shop Counter Support

DescriptionAssist the Merchandise Manager and Professional Staff regarding all Golf Shop Operations. The Counter Associate is responsible for accurately communicating golf related information and basic daily club operational information to the membership. DUTIESProvide quality service by anticipating the needs of the membership Maintain golf shop cleanliness Assist in maintaining club policies and procedures regarding golf operations Answer phone and provide accurate information (if unable to provide information-get member's name & number and follow-up) Collect necessary golf fees and/or assist with golf shop purchases Handle special orders and merchandise returns Assist members with daily Demo Club check-out Assist with hanging, steaming, and ticketing of new merchandise Assist with maintaining merchandise displays (ex. Folding shirts, steaming clothes, etc) Assist with monthly inventory control Filing, copying, and general clerical duties Assist with monthly Demo Days QUALIFICATIONSTo perform job successfully, an individual must have some knowledge of golf. Additional requirements include: retail experience, effective working relationships with co-workers, personal computer skills, ability to relate to customer's needs, and able to communicate effectively orally.
